Hope Hicks, one of President Trump’s most loyal and trusted advisers, said Wednesday she will resign as White House communications director. With Hicks's departure, the president is losing a valued aide who has been at his side since before he launched his long-shot bid for the presidency in 2015. "There are no words to adequately express my gratitude to President Trump. I wish the president and his administration the very best as he continues to lead our country,” Hicks said in a statement. The 29-year-old adviser, who had no previous political experience, approached Trump recently to tell him that she wanted to leave in order to explore opportunities outside the White House, officials said. She did not say whether she has another job lined up. Hicks has no set departure date but is expected to officially exit in the next few weeks, according to the White House. "Hope is outstanding and has done great work for the last three years,” Trump said in a statement … [Read more...] about Hope Hicks leaves Trump’s White House
In the wake of the recent shooting in Parkland, Florida, President Trump hosted a meeting at the White House to discuss the subject of school safety. Among the subjects to come up was that of video games and movies, and the level of violence they contain--something he claimed is influencing the minds of minors. Trump even went so far as to suggest a ratings system could be necessary, despite the fact that such a thing already exists for both games and movies.During the chat, Trump raised the issue of monitoring the sorts of things that young people look at online. From there, he moved on to the entertainment they consume, saying, "We have to do something about maybe what they're seeing and how they're seeing it. And also video games--I'm hearing more and more people say the level of violence in video games is really shaping young people's thoughts."This isn't the first time he's pointed a finger at violent video games. Following the shooting at Sandy Hook in 2012, he tweeted, "Video … [Read more...] about Trump Raises Issue Of Video Game And Movie Violence, Suggests Ratings Board Is Needed
And now he's mad. https://www.independent.ie/world-news/north-america/president-trump/review-first-look-at-book-fire-and-fury-that-claims-trump-seduces-friends-wives-and-bannon-called-ivanka-a-fing-liar-36461527.html True or not, it's funny nonetheless if you read on. I'm sure there is some truth to it. Accounts of the night Trump won the election paint Melania as "crying." He and Melania “spent little time together”, even when both were in Trump Towers at the same time. One of the things that “made life worth living” for Trump was seducing his friends’ wives. Bannon saw Trump’s, well, trump card as the fact that he was “the last of the alpha males: a 1950s man, a Rat Pack type, a character out of Mad Men.” Don suspects even Melania, along with the rest of the world, of secretly plotting to poison his toothbrush. Don Jr and Eric Trump are jokingly known – behind their backs – to Trump insiders as Uday and Qusay – the … [Read more...] about Book ‘Fire and Fury’ that claims Trump ‘seduces friends’ wives’

Many in Silicon Valley woke up Wednesday morning to a harsh new reality: Donald Trump wins the presidency through the help of the social media. Despaired Silicon Valley luminaries blames it on complacency and the lack of engagement during the election period. Across the tech industry the news of Donald Trump's victory was beyond grim, many voiced out their frustrations and fears. There was a sense that the people behind famous social media platforms missed something rudimentary about the fears and motivations of people who use their platforms, and that it would cost the Tech industry and the world. New York Times writes that President Obama's tenure in the White House was seen as a more progressive avenue for the likes of Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft to take over the world, as their presence was boosted by friendly economic programs. The rise of social media platforms that were accessible with smartphones meant the importance of having a working … [Read more...] about US Election Results 2016: Silicon Valley Shakened By Donald Trump’s Victory?
